“Phil was my 2nd driving instructor. He started to teach me around July 2006 after id been driving for a few months with a
previous instructor. When I started with him I hadn’t been particularly enjoying learning to drive and was getting frustrated
with not being able to master things such as clutch control and roundabouts. From his patience and easy step by step instructions
I was able to overcome these issues quickly and progress to learn new skills. I started to enjoy driving and this is massively down
to the way Phil instructs. He makes sure you understand the theory to every aspect of driving and was keen for me to sit my theory
test as soon as possible which made me think that if he had confidence in me then i must be progressing well.
He was always chatty and positive in improving things that I had trouble with (anything to do with reversing).
When it came to me sitting my practical test he was keen for me to be well prepared and took me round test routes and made sure
I was comfortable with all the questions the examiner could ask. Even after passing my test he was happy to advise me on things
like pass plus, talking me through all the benefits and costs. I decided to do pass plus and Phil gave me a very reasonable price.
